What is the Vibrant Veggie 21-Day Cleanse:
The Vibrant Veggie 21 day cleanse is a VEGAN cleanse that emphasizes balancing your body’s PH by eating more lush whole foods, alkalizing green drinks, and super-powered green smoothies. By increasing the amount of alkaline foods you eat while decreasing acidic foods (animal products, processed sugars and starches, etc), you reduce inflammation and boost immunity and life force. In short, you stack the good-health odds in your favor.

When does the Vibrant Veggie 21-Day Cleanse Start:
The next cleanse start date is May 12, 2014.

What is Provided:
Marina Jennifer James (Certified Nutritionist & Personal Trainer & Reiki Master) will be providing nutritional support & guidance to you as a group (weekly gatherings- a follow-up e-mail will be coming soon to give you dates of these weekly gatherings) as well as individually for the next 21 days. You can e-mail me, text me, call me, and meet with me once a week during the 21 days. We will schedule weekly check-in’s (20-30 min) for additional one-on-one support and we can do weekly weigh in’s to check weight/ body-fat/muscle-mass/visceral fat rating if you choose. For those that live out of town or can't meet in person, you may choose to skype with me.

Whole Foods Shopping Tour Available Prior/During Cleanse:
I also provide a Whole Foods Shopping Tour to go over the specific food items that you will be choosing for the next 21 days. The cost for this tour is $40 per person and takes about an hour to go through the store. You will also be provided with a handout during the tour.

Prior to the start of the cleanse, clients are required to make payment in full, by either check or cash. If payment is not received in advance, clients will not be included in the group. The cost of the 21 days is $69.

What to purchase prior to starting the cleanse:

  • Book - we will continue to use the book “Crazy Sexy Diet” by Kris Carr for guidance; please start reading the book as soon as possible.
  • Binder - to manage all of your handouts/ daily emails/goals (review daily)
  • Neti-Pot - for your daily Nasal Wash
  • Dry Brush - you can find these at Target, CVS, Whole Foods, Community Market, Oliver’s, etc.
  • Decent Blender / Juicer – please contact me for any questions and recommendations
  • Vitamins - please contact me and we can go over this individually before you start the cleanse
  • Mason Jars - purchase with a lid for your daily Green Juice or Green Smoothie

What to start reducing 1-2 weeks before the cleanse starts:

  • Sugar
  • Caffeine (except for organic green tea or Yerba Mate )
  • Alcohol
  • Gluten Products
  • Dairy
  • Animal Protein
  • All Processed foods

What to start choosing 1-2 weeks before the cleanse starts:

  • Organic , Seasonal and Local Foods
  • Choosing a variety of greens to make your green juices or green smoothies and always organic (spinach, chard, kale, bok choy, mache, parsley, cilantro, dandelion greens, beet greens, sweet pea sprouts, sunflower sprouts, carrot tops, radish leaves, romaine lettuce, red leaf lettuce, mint, broccoli stems, collard greens, etc) . It is KEY to rotate all of your GREENS during the cleanse.
  • Emphasize these vegetables during the cleanse: cucumbers, broccoli, kale, collards, celery, parsley, cabbage, romaine, red lettuce, spinach, peppers, zucchini, asparagus, red peppers, chard , green beans, alfalfa sprouts, lentil sprouts, mung bean sprouts, sweet pea and sunflower sprouts, onions, garlic, leeks, cauliflower, winter squash, carrots, arugula, bok choy, sweet potatoes, parsnip, turnips, kohlrabi, tat soi, and jicama.
  • Choose Gluten-Free grains to enjoy (Quinoa, Teff, Millet, Brown Rice, Wild Rice, Black Rice, Gluten-free Oats)
  • Choose some organic & sprouted Tofu (if your body can handle some SOY) or Tempeh ( I would avoid Soy Yogurt, Soy Cheese, Soy Burgers, Soy Milk since it is highly processed)
  • Choose organic & raw nuts
  • Choose organic & raw nut butters (Cashew, Almond, Pecan, Walnut, and Sunflower Seed). I would Avoid Peanuts and Peanut Butter, during the cleanse.
  • Choose Gluten-Free crackers in small amounts (Mary’s Gone Crackers & Brown Rice are my favorites)
  • You can allow yourself small amounts of Dark Chocolate during the cleanse ( 70% or higher )
  • Enjoy all organic herbal teas and organic green tea
  • Release coffee during the cleanse (It is okay to do Yerba Mate and Organic Green Tea)
  • During the cleanse, consider having 1-2 Colonics or doing your own enemas. (Refer to Chapter 5). How do you feel about this? Do you already have someone you would go to? I have some recommendations if you are interested
  • Make time to connect with Nature on a daily basis
  • Make time to move your body for at least 30 minutes every day (this can be walking, yoga, swimming, hiking, running, stretching, anything). You can also meet with me for a separate personal training consult to design a workout you can do at your own gym or at home during the cleanse. The cost for this is $50 for a 1 hour consultation.
  • You will have 20 questions to look at every day for the next 21 days (every evening) to see how you did each day. Please be gentle with yourself as this isn’t about BEING perfect. Whatever you do, it is all ok.
