About Marina

Marina James-GalvinI am a Certified Personal Trainer through ACE (American Council on Exercise) and NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine). I work with all ages and my clients range from beginners to advanced. I emphasize doing functional exercises that help strengthen the core (where movement begins) and balance which we use in everything we do during the day. I love to mix up workouts to make them fun and exciting so my clients don’t get bored with doing the same things all the time. I meet with my clients at Studio Fitness in Santa Rosa (next to Whole Foods on Yulupa). I can also design a program for you to do at home to reach your personal goals.

I am also a Certified Nutrition Consultant who specializes in Metabolic Typing, Releasing Weight & Body Fat, Eating Issues, Low Energy, Digestive Issue and a Vegan Lifestyle. I have been over-weight myself and know the struggles that this creates in one’s life. I have been a Vegan Athlete for the last few years and I also work with clients who also want to live this kind of lifestyle. I am an endurance ultra trail runner and have personally seen my own energy, stamina and recovery increase since letting go of animal protein. I don’t push this on any of my clients as this is what personally works for me and my training, but I am happy to design a specific program for you if you are indeed interested in living this way. I also lead 28 day Vibrant Veggie cleansing groups (I have led over 13 groups now) which does emphasize living a vegan, gluten-free, clean lifestyle for 28 days. I emphasize using whole, organic, seasonal, and local foods to achieve optimal health.
